ABCRC launches its latest campaign by inviting the public to visit an interactive installation in downtown Calgary that gamifies recycling

CALGARY, AB , July 5, 2022 /CNW/ - In 2021, Albertans helped their province achieve a return rate of 84% for non-refillable beverage containers, one of the highest rates in the country. While impressive, 84% leaves room for improvement. To launch its newest campaign, Alberta Beverage Container Recycling Corporation (ABCRC) is enlisting the public's help to identify and contain all Depot-qualifying containers to help Alberta increase its return rate.

To help educate Albertans on how to identify The Unreturned and brief them on their shared mission, ABCRC has created a recycling gamification installation that will launch this week. More than a fun time with a great message, players can expect to walk away with exciting Alberta -centric, eco-friendly prizes.

WHAT: A media-friendly preview of the larger-than-life, uniquely Albertan, Plinko-style "Depot Drop" game that teaches players which containers go to the Depot, and puts their learning into practice in real time for a chance to win great prizes!

WHERE: 12 Ave SE & Macleod Trail South, Calgary

WHEN: Wednesday July 6 th 2022, Media Preview 11AM – 4PM
