GRAND RAPIDS, MI – A former teacher at Lansing Eastern High School was killed in a weekend storm when he was struck by a large door in the outdoor area of a restaurant.

Tyler Blakslee died after he was struck Saturday, July 23, by the hinged door of a shipping container at Sandy Point Beach House.
